TRAINING DESIGN
I - Title : School-based Training on Enhanced School Improvement Planning (SIP)
Process
II – Date : January 21-22, 2016
III- Venue : Binocaran Elementary School

IV- Rationale:
The school administrators, teachers, pupils, parents, local officials and other
stakeholders play a vital role in the success and failure of every school. The extent of success
of these key players and the school itself, however; relies on how wide, clear, and organized is
the school roadmap to success was laid down.
Really, in the spirit of shared governance, under the ACCESs principle or A Child and
Community Centered Education Systems, it was believed that a thorough plan which is based
on evidence, data available and situation analysis that a real school needs can be addressed.
Thus, School Improvement Planning (SIP) is deemed to be the answer in helping the school
outlines all the possibilities, frameworks and filters the priorities and finally adjust school sail
if necessary to the point where it must be led.
Due to the vital need of SIP in setting up the compass for right direction of the school,
and based on the comprehensive review of the 2009 SIP and SRC, including the consultations
with various stakeholders enhancement were made. This enhancement harmonizes School
Improvement Planning (SIP) with Continuous Improvement Process (CI)
Hence, on this premise, and in pursuant to Republic Act No. 9155 known as
Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001, and all other existing policies in congruent to the
thrust of strengthening School-Based Management (SBM), the District of Malimono clearly
unfolds the significant and immediate need to conduct a training to capacitate the school
planning team to craft effectively an SIP in a responsive, evidence-based and systematic
approach.
Thus, the District-based Training on Enhanced School Improvement Planning
(SIP) Process is hereby proposed.

V – Technical Description:
This training is anchored to R.A. 9155 also known as Governance of Basic Education Act
of 2001, and DepED Order No. 44, s. 2015 re: Guidelines on Enhanced School Improvement
Planning (SIP) Process and the School Report Card (SRC). This is a live out two-day training
which will be participated by School Planning team which is also inclusive to all teachers. This
training will focus on key process on attaining effective and evidence-based school improvement
planning. This two-day training requires per participant a registration fee of Php 300.00 to defray
expenses on training venue, meals & snacks and other incidental expenses.
VI- Objectives:
1. This endeavour is aimed at strengthening School-Based Management (SBM) by further
devolving the governance of education to schools. Specifically, it targets to:
1.1 empower school teams and personnel;
1.2 expand community participation and involvement; and
1.3 make the delivery of education services to the learners more responsive, efficient, and
effective through an enhanced school planning and communication process.
