III. RATIONALE:
In this time of pandemic, it is not news that many members of our community have been in
distress and have felt helpless due to the economic crash that COVID-19 has brought
upon the country. Most complain of the lack of sources of income and support to sustain
the needs of their family, especially the children. With this dilemma in mind, the proponents
were motivated to create this 2-Day Sew-Along Training-Workshop on Dress-Making
Projects for Parents and Teachers which will focus more on the tutorial and demonstration
of basic dressmaking and sewing.

This aims to help aid the livelihood predicament of some of our family members in the
community. The knowledge and techniques that they will learn will enable to unlock their
skills in dressmaking and thus, can be a great way to start a small-scale business in the
future.

This is a school/community program that was formulized by the proponents in-order to be

able to share knowledge and skills and give optional source of income to the participants
and help increase their basic daily needs.

IV. OBJECTIVES:

1. Be familiar with the different parts and functions of a sewing machine.

2. Have knowledge through demonstration in pattern-making techniques and cutting of
