The culminating activity of the subject Community Engagement Solidarity and
Citizenship and Discipline and Ideas in Social Science is to carry out a community

methodologies are applied to conduct community-action programs through the
learning skills of Community Engagement Solidarity and Citizenship (HUMSS_CSC12-
IV-e-h-20) and (HUMSS_DIS 11-IVh-6). The 11th and 12th graders at Monkayo
National High School who study the Humanities and Social Sciences Strand are
dedicated to give back to the community since they were taught the values of social
justice and safeguarding human dignity. With this concluding outreach project, we
intend to help our children understand the social injustices that present in our
neighborhood.

The aim of this activity is to uplift the underprivileged members of our

community by providing the 20 identified poor individuals/families with basic
necessities that will support them for a period of days. The Humanities and Social
Sciences students aims to foster a culture of giving and making positive impact on the
lives within the community. This will also provide a platform of giving addressing their
immediate needs, promote social cohesion and making students understand their
privileges. Hence, this activity is proposed:
