AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY

My name is Kevin Cornwall and I was born in the heat of the cricket season on the 26th of

March, 1994 in the republic of Trinidad and Tobago. On this special day, I not only brought

overwhelming joy to the lives of Hether and Ian Cornwall but my birth ushered in victory of a

united Caribbean team called West Indies who played New Zealand in a semi-final cricket

match of the season. Ever since that day, I have been called the cricket baby because of my

avid love of the sport.

Born into an aspiring middle class household, my parents worked stable jobs that

provided me with the essentials I needed to live comfortably. At the time, my father worked as a

trade teacher in high school and my mother, a clerk at the national electricity providing company.

My parents who were newlyweds, ensured that I had the best childhood as an only child, leaving

me somewhat spoiled. I attended the local primary school in my neighbourhood where I was

well known because of the vast alumni in my family. This made my learning and transition

throughout primary school a great experience.

While my experience in primary school was a fun, care free environment, my experience

is secondary school was remarkably different. I began to focus more on pursuing academic

excellence and found an interest in understanding human behavior. I found an interest in

studying human behavior because many of my classmates teased me about my size and height

and referred to me as a bodyguard. Seeing nothing wrong with my physical appearance, I

became interested in understanding what causes people to label others based on looks and

personality type.

When I graduated from secondary school, my love for Psychology grew stronger. This

love led to meet Mr. Richardson, who today I considered a blessing in disguise. When I told Mr.

Richardson my goals, he graciously guided me in the process of attending a four-year college or

university in the United States. With his honest guidance and my strong passion, I made the life

changing decision to attend Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. My relationship with Mr.

Richardson allowed me to have a sound idea of what I wanted to study in college. Today, I am

currently a candidate for a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology.
