My childhood was had its good

I was born to an unwed mother that had to place her college plans on hold in order to raise me for the first
couple of years. At the age of three, my mother decided to go back to school and enrolled at tidewater
community college. There she met a gentleman that shoe courted and fell in love with eventually marrying.
After receiving her associates degree, she then had three more children with her husband. We had a great
life, never being without or having a need for anything. My mother had landed a great position with the
YMCA and she would work there for about fifteen years. After about 10 years of marriage, my mom and step
dad divorced.

My husband and children are integral parts of my life. I am doing this for them. I want to be
a great role model and instill values in them that will last a lifetime. They are the reason I
am the woman I have become.
