Book Week

(27th February 3rd March 2017)

3rd February 2017

Dear Parents/Carers,

World Book day is fast approaching (Thursday 3rd March) and so I would like to take this
opportunity to tell you about the things that we have arranged in school

At Phoenix St Peter Academy, we will be holding Book week from Monday 27th February
Friday 3rd March. During the week childrens learning will be based around the book The
Great Hot Air Balloon Adventure by Stephen D Holmes. Children will be working on 2
competition entries throughout the week (1 writing and 1 art), with winners and runners
up from each key stage being announced in Fridays celebration assembly.

Alongside Book week we will also be completing a Readathon in order to raise money for
Childrens hospital. The Readathon will start on Wednesday 22nd February and will finish
on Thursday 2nd March. Please help you child/ren to get sponsers as the more they raise,
the more money school gets towards new books for our own library!
