TOPIC 2. PLANTS

2.3 Types of plants

-Depending on the size and the thickness of their stem, there are three types of plants:

Trees: They have a thick and hard stem called trunk ( like pine and oak trees).
Bushes: They have one or many hard and thin stems that branch out from their roots (like roses and rosemary).
Grasses: They have thin, green and flexible stems. They are small plants ( like poppies or wheat).
Plants with or without seeds:

Plants that produce seeds and have got flowers. Most of the plants that you know are of this type (daisies, roses,
poppies, orange trees or pines).

Plants that dont produce seeds and havent got flowers. These plants reproduce in a different way from other plants (
ferns, mosses and other similar plants)
