LIVING ORGANISMS: PLANTS

2.1 Recognising plants
-Plants have different characteristics:
They are green
They cant move from one place to another
They havent got sense organs
They breathe oxygen
They use sunlight to make food from water, air and minerals through a process called
photosynthesis.

-These are the main parts of a plant:

 The roots. They grow in the soil. They anchor the plant and absorb water and minerals.
The stem grows above the ground. It holds the plant upright and supports the leaves.
The leaves. They grow out of the stem and the branches
