Instructions, Setup, & Data Entry FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions):

First, please enter your Service Unit in the box: 624

Next, please enter your Troop number in the box: 2856

Immediately after you download:
You must save your spreadsheet to your hard drive. If you don't, it won't let you propogate the
names throughout the spreadsheet, and it will act as though the spreadsheet is read-only.
How to enter Daisy Names in the spreadsheet:
Double-Click on the Tabs at the bottom of the page that read "Daisy 1", "Daisy 2", etc. That will
hightlight the text. Simply type the girl's first name on the tab. That will cause her name to
proliferate thoughout the spreadsheet.
The Parent Contact Info page:
The Parent Contact Info page is simply there to give you a place to collect parent info for your
Daisies. Use it or not. It will have no effect on the rest of the sheet. This is just there as a tool for
you.
The Registration page:
The Registration page is there to give you some help in remembering who has given you their
registration papers, health history, paid their money to your council and your service unit. This will
not spread anywhere else on the sheet.
For the leader names, simply click on the names to change your leaders' names.

The Attendance page:

Enter activites, outings, and dates on this page. Use this page to record attendance. It may help
you with your recordkeeping. This page has no bearing elsewhere on this worksheet.
The Dues page:
Enter dues as you receive them. The sheet is set up for you to record money. Simply type in what
they were able to contribute. This page also has no bearing elsewhere in this worksheet.
How to enter credit on the Petals, Journey Awards, Age-Level Awards and Bridging pages:
To enter credit on the Achievement page, enter an A as a Daisy completes each requirement. Make
sure you enter an A. If you enter anything else, it won't register. The spreadsheet is only set up to
count A's.
The Summary page:
The summary page is for keeping track, at a glance, of where you are patches-wise. You can
quickly see, at a glance, what you have already awarded to the girls, and what you still owe them.
As you enter completion information in other parts of the spreadsheet, as soon as a girl is complete
for an award, it will automatically pop up an E (and highlight it) on the Summary page. When you
present the award to the girl, enter an Y beside that award for that girl (and the highlight goes away).

The Order page:

You will never enter any information on the Order page. It is a completely automated page that
gleens information from the Summary page. When it is time for you to order, simply go to the Order
page for that information. Every time a girl earns a patch, the numbers on this page increase.
When you award the patch to the girl (and place the Y's on the Summary page), the numbers
decrease.

What's the purpose of the individual Daisy pages?

You will never enter any information on the individual Daisy pages. Those pages are for you to
occasionally print out and hand to the parents. You can use them to let a parent know what their
daughter has and has not completed. You can also use that page to make homework assignments
to help girls catch up.
Troubleshooting & Frequently Asked Questions
First, most issues can be solved by carefully reading these instructions. I encourage you to re-read
this entire page before you do anything else. If that doesn't help, then the home site has a
troubleshooting and FAQ page:

If neither of these has helped, then please e-mail me and ask. However, I ask that you please
exhaust the above resources before you e-mail me. I get several e-mails per day asking for help,
and to be honest, if they ask a question which I've already covered in these instructions and/or the

What's the password?

First, I wouldn't recommend unprotecting the spreadsheet. It has been locked for your protection.
Basically, it has been locked to keep you from messing up the formulas. It's designed as such that if
you are getting a message telling you that a cell is protected, then you are trying to type in the wrong
box. But if you must know, the password is: daisy

What about sharing and editing this sheet?

1. You have my permission to share this spreadsheet, absolutely free of charge, to any scouter
anywhere.
2. You have my permission to post this spreadsheet on any server willing to host it. I will, however,
ask that if you DO post this spreadsheet on a server somewhere, that you occasionally check back
to the main site that will host this sheet to check for updates (to make sure you have the latest
version available.
