Following the post-war general elections a three-man collective

presidency was formed. Alija Izetbegovic (Bosniak)(s.a.) took over as
first holder of the rotating chair. The other two were Momcilo Krajisnik
(Serb)(b. 1945) and Kresimir Zubak (Croat)(b. 1947).

From the 1998 general elections the Collective Presidency acquired an

eight-month rotating basis.
Note: From 1991 ethnic groups, which played a preeminent role in
politics, are listed in parentheses after the name i.e. Adnan Terzic
(Bosniak).

Territorial Disputes: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia and Montenegro

have delimited most of their boundary, but sections along the Drina
River remain in dispute; discussions continue with Croatia on several
small disputed sections of the boundary related to maritime access that
hinder ratification of the 1999 border agreement.
