Mostly if you are wearing a neck, wrist or ankle coil you don't need the tape because 10 gauge wire is
pretty stiff and will hold its shape. So lots of people use 12 gauge wire for the neck, wrist and ankle.
Number is bigger but the wire size is actually smaller in diameter and they find the 12 gauge more
comfortable to wear, especially around their necks.
Why make a Lakhovsky coil? These coils stop pain! It's amazing. I actually don't have arthritis but my 2
older dogs do, so I wanted to make the coils for them, but figured I'd first try it out on myself. So I made
mine as a waist coil. I didn't notice anything the first day or the second day.
The third day I was thinking about asking my husband for a back rub, because all my adult life I have
carried my stress in my shoulders and upper back. I've lived with this for so long I don't even think of it as
" pain " --just something that is there. But as I was contemplating asking him for a back rub to loosen
everything up I suddenly realized that I didn't even HAVE any tension!!
It was so subtle that I hadn't even noticed the coil working! And I actually never expected to feel anything
at all because I didn't consider the coil for tension or stress--everyone else just talked about it relieving
arthritis and joint pain. So I was VERY surprised by the lack of tension in my shoulders and back.
I then made collars for my dogs. They have been wearing their copper coil collars for over 6 weeks now,
24/7. Normally the dogs have very bad arthritis spells (sometimes they can't even stand up) when the
weather changes, and we have had LOTS of weather changes because of the time of year, but they have
not had even one bit of pain. I'm just amazed.
Also, I had a doctors appointment. 2 weeks ago and took my shower the night before. I took the coil off
then and left it off all night. The next morning I went to the docs, not wearing the coil because she wouldn't
understand. Later that afternoon I suddenly realized that I could feel the tight belt feeling that I've had all
across my stomach where my surgery from a year ago was. Ever since that major surgery I've had a
feeling of having a tight one inch wide band across the stomach, from one side all the way to the other.
Again, the workings of the coil was so subtle that I hadn't felt the relief of not feeling that tightness until I
took the coil off and the feeling came back!
I made my husband a waist coil, but he's more sensitive to it than I am. For many people, him being one,
they can't wear the coil 24/7 as I can. After a few days of wearing it all day and night he started having
weird dreams, which is a " symptom " of wearing the coil too much. They say that once the body's energy
is balanced you don't need to wear the coils 24 hours a day--pick either day or night wear.
I told my brother about the coil because he was having bad knee and hip pain after exercising and when
he rolled over in bed, enough that it would wake him up. He made a coil and could tell a difference from
the first day he put it on. He doesn't have ANY pain after exercise now, nor does he wake up due to pain.
He only wears his to bed at night.
You can wear it next to your skin so it's hidden under your clothes if you want to wear it during the day, or
people have found it even works when being worn OVER clothes. My brother says that as soon as he
puts his coil on for the night he feels a subtle energy movement through his whole body, and he's not
particularly energy sensitive.
But some people on the list say the same thing--that they can feel the energy move as soon as they put
the coil on, but that it stops in just a few minutes. I have never felt any energy shift, but then I can wear
mine constantly. There you have it.
A simple, cheap, effective pain reliever. Just be sure to give it a few days. Some people feel relief almost
immediately, but others--such as myself, didn't notice anything for a couple of days.
You do NOT want the copper to touch copper anywhere. In other words, no bare copper at all. When you
clip the ends of the wires to fit around your waist, or wherever, you will see the copper wire inside the
insulation, but that's it--you don't want any bare copper showing.
For some reason, if the bare copper touches bare copper anywhere on the coil it shorts out the energy
wave and you won't get the healing benefit. Before, when the Lakhovsky coil was first made (back in the
20's I think), the type of insulation was not like it is today and it was taken off. So bare wire was used, but
then the overlapping ends HAD to be covered in something so that they wouldn't touch. Some people
used tape, some used rubber.
