HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY


To paraphrase an ancient proverb, the hundred mile journey to
safety leadership starts single first step of writing top management safety
policy. Safety policy should be displayed wherever appropriate to be
readily referred. The system of work and the manner in which top
management desires to implement should form the main structure of the
safety policy. A written policy enables to gain precedence over
expedience. Safety policy should broad in scope and general in nature.

Safety policy
Safety is a part of the AVS CONSTRUCTIONS management system to
ensure that every job / work is done safely as well as efficiently.

Safety is one of AVS CONSTRUCTIONS non compromising objective.

SAFETY POLICY is to see that what is everybodys business is


consciously recognized as a personal responsibility.

AVS Construction is committed to the SAFETY of its employees and


installations as well as its clients.

Careful planning and an active Safety Policy can help to bring about
safe and healthy working conditions.

A well thought out Safety Policy helps to avoid accident, to prevent


health hazards and saves human distress.

Safety policy is integrated and implemented through the active


involvement of the entire organizations.

All facilities required for implementation of Safety Policy will be


provided.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
AVS is strongly committed to promotion of safe working practices on
Construction of Civil Engineering Projects in line with the best practices of
the construction Industry. Environment, Health and Safety is treated as an
integral element of construction Management hence, Safety, Quality in
productivity shall go in hand in hand. It is our target to achieve the highest
standards of Health. And Safety and to effectively control all risks to
minimize accidental and incidental loss.

All employees of the AVS are required to:

a) Follow defined procedures with self discipline and work safely at all times;
b) Encourage safe behavior among their collegeous
c) Participate actively in safety programme and put the required knowledge
into practice;
d) Take a appropriate action to protect air, water, animal and plant life.
e) Consequently we aspire to attain high standards of practice through a
process of continuous improvement and the adoption of Indian Codes and
Standards where practicable.

Employees with managerial Responsibility will play a key role in our


Environmental, Health and Safety Culture and are required to:

a) Include Environmental, Health and Safety in the planning stage of all work
activities.
b) Conduct assessments of risks for all work operations.
c) Provide a high degree of Safety promotion and carrying out the
appropriate health and safety training as part of the Join Ventures
trainings programme.
d) Act as a role model by personally contributing to safety programme
e) Assign responsibilities and hold people accountable for their performance
f) Ensure that weakness is eliminated and improvement rapidly
implemented.
AVS intends to meet this commitments by ensuring that safe working
practices and procedures are adopted, which comply with the
requirements of the health and safety legislation and best practices in
India. The general and specific arrangements for achieving these
objectives are contained in the site Environment, Health and Safety plan.
All AVS Personal are required to take care of their own and others health
and safety whilst at work.
