EDUG 520 CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN

Statement of Purpose
I am committed in creating a comfortable, safe and fun environment that will encourage and enable
all students to be successful both academically and behaviorally. Our classroom will be a place of
respect and positivity toward ourselves, peers and educators.

Rules
Be in assigned seat and ready to learn when class begins.
Keep all body parts and objects to yourself.
Raise had and wait to be called on to speak.
Follow teacher instruction the first time it is given.
Be responsible with your classroom and homework assignments.
Respect fellow classmates, teachers, and anyone who visits the classroom.

Procedures
Classroom procedure for starting class.
When entering the classroom, first put away your coat, backpack, snack and lunch. Turn in any
due homework assignments into the homework basket. Walk quietly to you assigned seat, take out
pencil and be ready to learn.
Classroom procedure for using the bathroom.
There will be a sign that is labeled Restroom. One side will be green and the other side will be
red. Under this sign will be one boy and one girl hall pass. If the green side is showing, that means
that it is an appropriate time to use the restroom. If the student looks, sees green, and sees their
hall pass, you can quietly get up, push in your chair and grab the hall pass to use the restroom.
When you come back into class, place the hall pass back under the restroom sign and sit quietly in
your assignment seat.
Classroom procedure for lining up.
Each table will be labeled as a different day of the week. Depending on which day of the week it
is, that table will line up first and the rest of the days will follow in the correct order. For
example, if it was Wednesday, the table that was Wednesday would line up first followed by table
Thursday, Friday, etc. Wait to hear the permission to line up by your teacher. Stand up quietly and
push in your chair. While lining up, make sure to stay quiet and to keep hands and objects to
yourself.
Classroom procedure for classroom jobs.
Each table will be labeled as a different day of the week. Whenever the teacher needs any help,
(passing out paper, collecting assignments, etc) it will be the duty of the table of which day of the
week it is.
Classroom procedure for signals with hand signs.
If a student has a question, comment, an answer, needs a drink, or needs to sharpen their pencil,
you will hold up the appropriate hand signal and show it to your teacher. Be patient and wait till
the teacher sees your hand signal. Your teacher will give you a yes or a no nod letting you
