TO : ALL CONCERNED
SUBJECT DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY ON AUTOMATIC REVIEW
OF DISMISSED CASES INVOLVING REPUBLIC ACT NO.
9165 (COMPREHENSIVE DANGEROUS DRUGS ACT OF
2002)

In the interest of public service and pursuant to provisions of existing laws, all
incumbent Undersecretaries of this Department are hereby authorized to review,
revise, modify, reverse, or affirm the Resolutions subject of the Automatic Review of
dismissed cases involving Republic Act. No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs
Act of 2002), which have been elevated to the Office of the Secretary of Justice.

In view of the foregoing, Department Circular No. 66 dated 31 August 2010, is

hereby repealed and abandoned in so far as the assignment of cases to the
Undersecretaries according to territorial jurisdiction.

Nothing in this Department Circular shall diminish the authority of the Secretary of
Justice to directly act on all petitions for review, automatic review, or appeals.

This Department Circular shall supersede all issuances inconsistent herewith, shall
take effect immediately, and shall remain in force until further orders.
