Step by Step by - Solution:

First, install Advantech serial device server configuration utility and connect each EKI
module. Then follow below steps to complete the Peer to peer setting.
1. IP Setting
Static IP EKI-1522 A = 192.168.10.152
EKI-1522 B = 192.168.10.151
(here is a samplecustomer can set their own specific IP)

2. Port Setting (base on the require RS-232/422/485)

3. Port Mode Setting

Mode USDG Mode
Listen Port 5300 (Default)
(Above EKI-1522 A and EKI-1522 B has the same setting)
EKI-1522A:
PeerLocal port = 0, Peer IP = EKI-1522 Bs IP, Peer Port = EKI-1522 Bs listen port.
EKI-1522B:
PeerLocal port = 0, Peer IP = EKI-1522 As IP, Peer Port = EKI-1522 As listen port.

Note: After typing the peer IP setting, dont forget to click Add to below list.
 Note: One of EKI need checked Enable Auto Connect Peer IP for auto setup EKIs
communication.

4. Need use crossover Ethernet cable to connect this two EKI directly.
A. When connect to EKI, we can observer the LAN LED status to check Ethernet
connection.
B. When port RS-232/422/485 transmitting data, we can observer TX and RX LED glint
C. For RS-232/422 can use loop back testing for serial peer to peer function:
5. Advanced Application

A. For above topology, we can set more than one IP and listening port on master EKI
serial device server.

B. Master side EKI need to set Enable Auto Connect Peer IP.

Note1: It cannot enable Enable Auto Connect Peer IP for all EKI devices server.
Note2: Slave EKI only can set master EKIs IP and listening port.
