Name for the show: Flash FM Research into other college/university music slots: Monarch. (2013). the 25 Best College Radio Stations. Available: http://pigeonsandplanes.com/in-depth/2013/03/the- 25-best-college-radio-stations/the-university-of-texas-at-austin-kvrx-91-7- fm. Last accessed 02/03/17. On this website I found that the music taste played in the radio station depends on the college/university and the students that go there, for example I found a Christian university that only pretty much played rock and metal but on certain days they played Christian metal and rock which was a compromise with the stricter Christians as not everyone is a fan of hard rock and metal. Some colleges have very different music played every day which I think my group could stick to, as a compromise have different days for different music taste to suit everyone. However, some college do stick to only one genre throughout the whole thing, everyday, which I do not think is good as they wont get that many listeners as people that dont listen to that specific genre will not think that this radio station is for them and will therefor never listen to it again which mean losing listeners.

Some college radio station focus on music genres that arent exactly too famous on the normal radio as they feel like some peoples talents need to be revealed as if most people listen to whats normally on the radio (e.g pop) the classics (e.g indie, post-punk, garage rock) get underappreciated. In general, as I said it depends on the college, every radio station is unique in its different way; every radio station tries to give out a message throughout their own specific music they chose to air.
How to make our voice sound professional on the radio:
Vocal training sounding less like an announcer and more like your natural self when the radio microphone is turned on. Speak up & slow down (adds emphasis to what you are saying) people need to hear what you are talking about on the radio if you want listeners. Speak clearly - open your mouth, loosen your lips and keep your tongue and teeth in the correct position as you speak. Vary your pitch make an effort to control it and try not to sound nervous. (practice this by humming a tune or reading a text out loud to yourself) Record yourself helps you pick out any faults that you would not usually notice. Interview questions: 1.
