SEX TRAFFICKING 2
Abstract
The biggest defining conflict of the 21st century for women is Sex Trafficking and
Intergenerational Prostitution. I believe this issue is not really punished or looked upon.
Although its severe and it goes against human rights, its not punished enough making it go as a
cycle for other innocent girls to grow in that world. It is really hard to get to the roots of such
large industry but its not impossible. Any girl is exposed to it. This is why we should take
drastic measures and rescue these innocent girls and women all over the world. If we end with
this conflict and help women out to recover from all the suffering we can eventually help all
women live in harmony and peace. We need to make Prostitution severely punishable. The fact
that girls are not safe means that we need to be more in charge of women's rights and realize it's
a real global problem. Prostitution is absence of choice. This makes me wonder what we are
doing as a society to affect such issue. If these girls are sacrificed to society, the society we live
in asks for such injustice against us. Society is ready to be pleased with whatever we have to
offer.
Sex trafficking is one of the things that our society hides from our eyes. Its modern way
of enslaving women. Any girl is exposed to being caught in it and bring many more lives into the
industry. All women have the right to be free and comfortable walking around without the fear
that she will be taken from her family and never see them again. These girls need psychological
help, better education, and financial help. Although people believe that education for women is
the biggest problem of the 21st century because not everyone is gets an education, the biggest
problem worldwide is sex trafficking because it violates human rights and continues a cycle to
life with suffering for any girls born in it. Girls have no choice and are forced.
In general, most of the girls being forced to sell their bodies are innocent. The people that
get them use violence, shame and their lack of education to stop them from having a chance to
get out. Many times the girls a re intimidated and brought to the conclusion that they are
worthless. The average cost of a prostitute is $90. This is incredibly cheap for a human life. They
might not kill them but they cause them a lot of psychological damage. We need to help these
girls with psychological treatment after all. No matter how far we think we have this issue, its
affecting all the women in the world. Believe it or not, we are equal and deserve the same
quality of life as any girl sitting in front of a desk and and a book.
Many people think that prostitution cant be prevented or stopped. As i read in the book
Half The Sky, the officer who talks to Nick, These girls are sacrificed so that we can have
harmony in society. So that good girls can be safe. The girls in the brothels hide all the sexual
needs from men. The boys in many places have to appeal to the prostitutes while they can marry

their girlfriends and have a family. Its worst to get a girl pregnant than to just spend the night
with the girl that is forced and can't really reach out to anyone. If these girls were educated and
taught some type of self defense they would be a little harder to get. This industry is really hard
Prostitution is a multi billion industry that is not easy to get rid of. This has to do with
corruption and the way that they hide their brothels. Many time its in the most rural part of the
city or in the places were not many people live. Many times the victims are trained, taught and
manipulated to not talk to authorities. These prostitutes are forced and beaten to intimidate them
in order to do everything they are told to do. Most of them are sold by people they trust or with
promising lies of a better life. These women are mainly intimidated and manipulated by making
them feel like they have no choice. The majority of these victims are immigrants. The Pimps take
this as an advantage since they take their migratory situation as an easy way to lie about their
rights. Without any contact with their families or social identity, these girls are the perfect victim
for this job. Many police officers don't even know there's a sex trafficking law and rules to
Many people think that helping the women out of prostitution is a waste of time. It would
take thousands of dollars to end with such thing. Other than the expenses this would cause, the
women rescued would need a place to live and recover after all the things they had to go through.
The point is it would affect our economy globally. The women would have to have a place to
live, a job, learn to read and write, and meet their basic needs or else they would just live in the
second chance to live a nice life. They didnt choose that life, that life chose them but we can
make a difference and move forward to a good life. Their inability to not speak the local
language and not able to communicate with others makes them the perfect prey. If we teach them
to read and write, they can be successful and bring our economy up too.

Even though Sex trafficking is one of the most prosecuted crimes, very few people are
being arrested. The sex trafficking industry is really hard to get to. Many times the
victims are trained, taught and manipulated to not talk to authorities. These prostitutes are

of them are sold by people they trust or with promising lies of a better life. These women

The majority of these victims are immigrants. The Pimps take this as an advantage since
they take their migratory situation as an easy way to lie about their rights. Without any
contact with their families or social identity, these girls are the perfect victim for this job.
Many police officers don't even know there's a sex trafficking law and should be better
informed. This would help us get all the heads of such monopoly.

sold are sold by drug dealers, or gang members because for them is less risky and more
lucrative. Its less risky because fewer law enforcement officials are dedicated to
investigating and prosecuting sex trafficking than they are working on other crimes such
as drugs.Traffickers especially target vulnerable children who have been abused, have
dropped out of school, are homeless, or are gay or lesbian. The perfect age for traffickers

In this book you get to see the point of view of what people think about prostitution.
Many of the girls being prostituted are not wealthy and educated girls. This is why they
are chosen and valued. Their inability to not speak the local language and not able to
communicate with others makes them the perfect prey. Nick talks to an Indian officer in
the book and asks his point of view of the situation. He realises that prostitutes are not a
big deal to the people in India. Instead they worry about the people pirating DVDs. We
see the girls seen as a sacrifice to society so that the rich get to learn and be safe.

In this document I got to see the percentage of young women and men aged 18-29 who
have experienced some type of sexual violence. The Numbers shows that the Females
are more sexually violated than males in 2014. This means that any female is more likely

to get raped or or sexually abused. 73% of women from undeveloped countries were
sexually violated in 2014. More than half of the girls in undeveloped countries are getting
violated which is a really scary number. Any women is 52.9% probable of being raped.
We need to find a solution to bring that number down and make every girl in this world
safe.
Walker, D. (2011). God in a brothel: an undercover journey into sex trafficking and rescue.
Even though sex trafficking is not really openly talked about, we all know it exists and
that there are many women, girls and children suffering. This book is an investigation
into the dark whole of sex trafficking with testimonies and horrible stories about the
suffering and conflict. Human trafficking is a modern type of slavery and should be
exposed as much as we can to end with this problem. Thanks to Walker, many
investigators are freed and brought to their families where they are helped to get a better
life. This gives the girls another little blow of hope. Rescuing the girls is not easy but
walker risks what he has to get to the girls and give them another chance.
