Pumpkin Patch Progress

A picture speaks a thousand words so if you have not had an opportunity to wander down and
visit our pumpkin patch here are some candid shots to tell its story.

Plowed Field

Fenced Pumpkin Patch

During the past few weeks Dunham kids have had an opportunity to
explore and develop the land behind the outdoor classroom. We have
looked at the soil and felt the difference between the different layers
and textures the tractor uncovered for us. Kids were able to make clay
clods and see if the forms held over the week. We have had many
hands reduce our compost pile whilst filling bucket loads to mix into
our prepared pumpkin beds.

Adding Compost

Plant Sale Success!

We raised almost $250 that goes directly to the Dunham Garden Program. Thank you so much to
all the families that participated! I wish you happy gardening!
