Whencreatinganewlicensefileviatheweblicensingportal,usersareaskedtoinputtheHostNameandHost
IDofthecomputerbeinglicensed.Thishelparticlediscussessomecommonmethodsforobtainingthis MaintenanceProgramChangesan
informationfromthecomputer.IfENVIorIDLisalreadyinstalledonthecomputer,oursoftwarecanbeused Reminders:Allcustomersmustbe

WhentheLicenseWizardopens,selecttheradiobuttonto"Requestalicenseifyoudon'thaveinternet
access"

Whenyouclick"Next",asmalltextfilewillbegeneratedwhichcontainstheHostNameandHostID
informationforyourcomputer.FortheHostID,therearesometimesseveralsetsof12digitalphanumeric
stringslisted,whichareeachseparatedbyasmallspace(each12digitstringrepresentsaphysicaladdress
