To whom it may concern:

I am applying for a job at the Crossroads for food service. I learned about this job from looking
at the campus job board. I would like to work here because I have had great experience working
with food and I enjoy serving others. I have experience catering and handling food and I know
how labor intensive it is. I am up for any challenge.

I worked at a home town restaurant last summer. There we made all our meals from scratch. That
was when I learned how to ask affective, brief questions so that I was able to correctly
understand the task I was to do; I learned effective communication. I worked long hard satisfying
days that included continuous exhausting labor and communicating effectively with customers as
well as co-workers and my boss. I worked part time and was trained for 5 months. By then I was
able to know what to do and how to make most meals and serve people. I also knew the basics of
catering which continued to develop to catering jobs by myself. I was able to please the
customers.

I am confident I can offer the food service that is need. I am experienced, diligent, and up for any
