& Learn on Tuesday, April 4th
from 12:30pm - 1:20pm in
Room 414.
Kellie Demmler of Millennium Community School (charter
school) and Sharon Scheidegger of Sterling Education
(private school) about the joys and challenges of working in
alternative settings.
Coming from each side of the spectrum, respectively, with
class sizes of 26-30 students while dealing with generational
racism and high-poverty; and class sizes of 8 students with
factors such as self-directed learning and reading far below
and far above grade level, Mrs. Demmler and Mrs.
Scheidegger are each touching the lives of their students.
There are numerous options to consider for us as future
educators looking to make our mark on the world.
