After a thorough investigation Rollins College has informed my client Marshall
Polston that he has been officially exonerated from all charges filed against him by
his humanity professor Areej Zufari.

Firstly, we would like to thank Meaghan Rempala for her thoroughness, neutrality,
and professionalism in conducting the investigation.

A students freedom of speech and expression are the cornerstones of liberty in a


free society. Teachers and students must always remain free to inquire, to
study and to evaluate, and to gain maturity and understanding; otherwise
our civilization will stagnate and die. Sweezy v. New Hampshire, 354 U.S.
234, 250 (1957).

This decision does not undo the damage sustained to Mr. Polston by these
unfounded allegations. He has lived in exile for the past week and will be
judged unfairly Zufaris malicious assassination of Mr. Polstons character.

What is particularly disturbing is that Zufari would attempt to destroy the


academic career of Mr. Polston for merely questioning her academic
validity. Zufaris abuse of the system as well as questions about her
affiliations are far more worthy of an investigation than any student
challenging a professor. Therefore, we are calling on Rollins College to
make a full inquiry as to Zufaris fitness to continue on at Rollins in any
capacity.
