SUBJECT: NEW GUIDELINES FOR PREFERENTIAL BIDDING

As we enter IROPS we will face difficulty in covering duties due to requirement of various qualifications. To help
with this we will simplify the options we have in our Preferential Bidding System in order to attain better flight &
standby coverage. This would also help to achieve better distribution of flights and block hours among all crew
members. We also believe the PBS satisfaction rate will increase with implementation of the new guidelines.

The new guidelines will be implemented for the bidding period of December16 to February17 for roster
publication period of January17 to March17.

New Guidelines for Preferential Bidding

The preferential bidding system will now have two options:
o Fixed/Floating Days Off
o Specific Trip/flights/destinations
Crew can bid for maximum 5 bids of each category i.e. Crew member can bid for 5 fixed/floating days off
and 5 specific trips/flights/destinations.
Each crew member will be granted maximum 3 off bids and 1 flight bid.
Crew members can be granted maximum 2 consecutive days off. For example, crew members place 3 bids
for off on 8th, 9th & 10th Jan. In such case crew member can be granted only 8th 9th or 9th -10th Jan as day
off.
Crew members can request for only 1 day off in each bid (5 bids total).
Crew members can bid flight/trip for specific date only. Crew will not be able to select option of as many
flights as possible.

Steps on iCrew for preferential bidding system

Two options for preferential bidding are available on right corner of screen.

In Fixed/floating day off, crew can request for 1 consecutive off.

In Specific trip/flights/destinations, crew member can request for any trip, flight and destination only for
specifically date.
