creative title, helpful description, and relevant SC teaching standards. There must be one app

Title: Rhyming and Tracing Words

Relevant SC Standards:

Kindergarten 1.4 Recognize and name all upper- and lowercase letters of the alphabet.

Kindergarten 2.1 Recognize and produce rhyming words.

Kindergarten 6.2 Print upper-and lower-case letters.

Description: This app lesson will develop Kindergarten students knowledge and understanding
of the letters of the alphabet and how to recognize rhyming words.

Instructional Objective: Students will learn to recognize and how to write the letters of the
alphabet as well as work on rhyming words.

Step 1: Students will learn the letters of the alphabet by tracing the letters on the Writing Wizard
app for Kids. The students will also be able to hear the letter spoken to them so that they know
what sound each letter makes.

Step 2: Students will then go on to the Rhyming Words Center and play some rhyming games so
that they will be able to recognize them and use the tracing of the letters to help them figure out
the words for the games.

Step 3: Students will now produce their own rhymes on this note app so that they can show it to
the teacher and other students in the class. The students will practice printing upper- and lower-
case letters when making their own rhymes.
