STEP 1 (Monday in class)

B. Answer the following questions in one paragraph thoroughly on this form prior to the skills test:
What is your personal capital? What are your strengths, skills, passion, purpose? What evidence you have that these things exist?
My strengths include patience, analytical, friendly, and a leader. One
skill is my ability to talk to people and become friends. I have a passion for learning and helping others. My purpose is to do my best to help others feel more at ease when placed in an uncomfortable situation. This shows in the way I interact with strangers in my classrooms and in public places.
What is your intellectual capital? What is your expertise in one or two
subjects or skills? (These do not have to be exclusively academic subjects) What evidence do you have that you are an expert in these fields?
I excel in science. I do my best in science and get the best grades. I
think I am skilled at remembering important events and information which helps me in all science classes and helps me in my drive for my career.
Where do you see yourself in September of next year?
In September of next year I see myself taking classes I need to become
a nurse. Hopefully with a job as well to support myself. Whether they be at CBU or RCC is undecided.

STEP 3 (Tuesday in Class):
List your top 5 strengths with a brief summary of what each strength means:
1. Communication- Plan and volunteer for events and
activities. 2. Curiosity- I like to move fast and always look for new things to learn 3. Faith- I have strong faith, but also need to understand and respect others opinions 4. Visionary- Share and seek other ideas, work on activities to see the progress happen. 5. Innovation- Search out new ideas to stimulate thinking, plan my decisions.
List your top weakness with a brief summary of that weakness:
1. Self motivation- Take initiative, find a role that demands
persistence, am most effective when I feel in control, and need clear feedback to learn.
STEP 4 (Tuesday in class):
In narrative form, thoroughly describe what you discovered about
yourself from this strength assessment. Did you know your strengths and weakness or did you discover something new? What was it and how are you going to apply it? This portion is due in a separate document to turnitin.com by Wednesday, February 15th.
