Rules of Writing and Grammar


1. WHAT are the rules for writing? I think that before writing you should
brainstorm think of the audience the pre-write, write the first draft, revise,
edit, and proofread.
2. WHY are there rules for writing? There is rules for writing so people could
understand what is being written.
3. WHO made up these rules for writing and grammar? People made up the
rules as they see it affective.
4. WHERE are places we can go to find these rules? Rules for writing can be
found on the internet, books, and schools.
5. HOW do we improve our writing? We could improve our writing by practicing
over and over and follow every step or writing process.
6. WHAT are the basics of writing (composition)? Pre writing , writing , drafts,
proofreading
7. WHO taught you what you know about writing and the rules? I learn the
basics of writing in school.
8. WHEN should writing be judged or evaluated? Writing should be judge and
evaluated on the final draft
9. HOW does reading effect your view of the rules of grammar and composition?
a. A published author writes fragments
b. A published author begins sentences with (and, or, for, nor, but, yet,
so) coordinating conjunctions.
10.Do you write like you speak? Not always it all depends who you write to.
11.WHAT are the expectations of Academic Writing? The expectations are to be
able to write properly.
