ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT STUDY

The mission of the Management and Organization Studies area is to

create and disseminate management and organizational knowledge that furthers

social and human sustainability. It also includes professional background

information about the founders and principals of the business and what skills they

can contribute to the business.

This section explains the type of business organization, the organizational

chart, the duties and responsibilities of each hired employees, the manpower

compensation and benefits, and the compensation scheme which support the

proposed business.

Type of Organization

The proposed business will adopt the partnership as their type of

organization. It will be managed by two (3) people. Each partner will have their

own task/ responsibilities but must focus on planning, organizing, controlling and

directing the business. The group will have its common mission, vision, goals and

objectives to avoid conflicts. The outcome of the business will be divided equally

with the partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manager/Cashier

1. Give the information about the product and services to the employees for

them to be guided in the things that they will do during the operations.
2. Can control the expenses of the establishment from supplies to services.
3. Develop relations to the customers.
4. Must be flexible in all aspects of the establishment.

Qualifications:

1. Must have knowledge about how to manage a Coffee Shop.


2. Must be a graduate related to the business.
3. Must be good in interacting with other people.

Barista

1. Taking orders of the customers and determining the coffee interests

needs.
2. Maintain the standard of the organization and also the rules and

regulations, especially, in sanitation.


3. Improves the quality designs of the coffee and make it unique to improve

the appearance of the establishment.

Qualifications:

1. Must have an experience in working in a coffee shop.


2. Must be a NCII Holder in Bartending.
3. Can do multi-tasking.
4. Must be resourceful.

Waiter/ Waitresses

1. Give the best service that they can offer to the customer.
2. Be tactful and polite.
3. Must be a multi-tasked person.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a graduate of at least 2- year course related to the business.


2. Medical Certificate (Physically Fit)
Health Card
Police Clearance/ NBI Clearance
3. Must be an NCII Holder in Food and Beverage Services.

Security Guard

1. Monitors the safety of the establishment, the employees and the

customers.

2. Must be alert and active in case of unexpected activities inside/outside of

the establishment.
3. Welcoming the customers in the establishment.

Qualifications:

1. At least, High School graduates.


2. 2-years experience in Security Agencies.
3. Medical Certificate (Physically Fit)
4. Police Clearance/ NBI Clearance

Labor is necessary in business. Employees must be properly

compensated and humanely treated to achieve effective and efficient service.

The salaries for the employees will include fixed compensation. The salaries of

employees are based on provincial rate that will not be lower than Php 250.00.
