This cheat sheet will help you create a class in Google Classroom.

It will also allow you


to add students to the Google Classroom.

1. Go to http://www.google.com.
2. Log into your FCPS google account. This would be your username. This is the same as
your FCPS e-mail except instead of @fcps.edu, you would use @fcpsschools.net
3. Once you are logged into your google account, go to http://classroom.google.com

4. In the upper left hand corner you will see your FCPS google account e-mail and next to it a
plus sign. See screenshot above. Click on the plus sign and then the dropbox option create
class.

Enter class name: example - Ms. Johnsons 4th Grade Class


You can leave subject and section blank. Those are geared toward secondary teachers.

5. Your class will now appear. Click on the box. It will appear like the ones in the screen shot
above.

6. You should see a screen like this.


7. Click on the students tab in the center.

8. You should see a code on the left side of the page.

9. Have your students log into their fcps accounts. Once there students will go to
http://classroom.google.com.

10. They will see their FCPS log-in in the upper left and a plus sign just like you did. Reference
the first screen shot. They will then see an option to join class.

11. Have them enter the class code as seen on the screenshot above.
