The symposium will be held at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, on

May, 8-9, 2017

We kindly invite you to take part in this scientific event or, if your agenda makes not possible this partake, we
would appreciate if one of the scholars of your academic staff will join our scientific event.
The papers must fit to the subsequent topics / panels:

1. Ars liturgica: the Arts in the service of the Church

2. Iconic anthropology
3. Iconic figures of martyrdom in Communist prisons
4. The avatars of the I(i)mage, and the cultural industries of Postmodernity.
In order to be presented at the conference, all selected works will be reviewed by the scientific committee. The papers
must be original works, written in an academic English, having considerable scientific relevance, and must not
have been published previously elsewhere.
Registration & accommodation :
The registration form and the abstract of your paper must be submitted to rev. Dumitru VANCA
(vancadum@yahoo.com). Please retain, until February, 20, 2017, we need the title and the abstract of your
presentation (up to 300 words), and 4-5 keywords.
Expenses for accommodation, meals, reception and coffee breaks, as well as for the conference pack and
proceedings, will be covered by the participation fees. Likewise, participants can organize on their own the
accommodation and other services.
Submission and Publication:
Your full paper must be submitted as an email attachment to vancadum@yahoo.com (rev. Dumitru A. VANCA),
alma_deian@yahoo.com (rev. Alin ALBU), until April, 15. Texts must be prepared only in British English and edited
using MS Word with 12 Times New Roman font, single spacing.
The conference volume will be published as a special issue of the Altarul Rentregirii Journal (CEEOL database).
Please note, that studies should not exceed 8,000 words (including notes, remarks, abstract, and references); they
must also include the author's name, affiliation, an English abstract and 4-5 keywords. Please attach also a small
presentation of yourself which may include scientific and academic titles and ranks, a relevant work, and your e-
mail. We also recommend you to include a running title of maximum 70 characters (including spaces). The studies
containing ancient Greek, Hebrew or Slavonic characters must be accompanied by used fonts.

A selection of the presented papers is going to be published as extended works in the European Journal of Science and
Theology (indexed in ERIH Plus, Scopus, EBSCO, etc.). The selected studies must be prepared according to the rules,
procedures, terms and conditions for publication of EJST, available at the journal website
(http://www.ejst.tuiasi.ro/instructions.htm). In order to improve your work, it is also possible to be asked by the
EJST editors to review some parts of your paper.

Working languages:
The working languages of the Symposium are English and Romanian, but we can provide translation in Italian,
French and German.
