Project 3 Cougar Prize Store

We had an increased number of behavior incidents on campus, in-school

Area of suspension, out-school suspension and an increase in out of class behavior
Concern intervention (buddy teacher).

It is part of our School Improvement Plan and it was expressed as a concern

Needs
by the principal.
Assessment
I started the Cougar Prize Store at the beginning of the 3rd nine weeks as a
positive behavior intervention support (PBIS). I was able to use $800 from
our Title 1 funds to buy incentives to promote positive behavior. I ordered
the incentives from an approved vendor, Oriental Trading and Lakeshore.
Action Plan Students also get a cougar colored coded punch card for each nine weeks.
Punches received when excellent behavior is observed by the teacher or any
staff member. The store opens on week 3 and week 7, from the nine-week
cycle. The cougar store is able to run effectively with the help of our 4th
grade student council.
Compare EO 2nd nine weeks office referrals with EO 3rd nine weeks office
referrals. We were able to see most improvement in our lower grade levels
Evaluation K-2 than our 3-4. Also, there was very small gain in our 3rd graders improved
behavior.
