Title of artifact: Letters to the Teacher, Principal, and Board of Education
Standard: Standard Eleven Ethical Practice

I am placing this artifact, Letters to the teacher, Principal, and Board of Education, under
Standard Eleven Ethical Practice as evidence of continued mastery towards practicing proper
etiquette and ethics in a classroom and school setting. As a teacher, there is a certain way that I
have to act and certain responsibilities to uphold. I am a role model for children and must behave
as so. I certainty cannot be disrespectful and not thank to the people who let me teach at their
school. I wrote these letters thanking the respective parties for letting me do service learning at
their school and in their classrooms not only because I really was thankful, but also because it
was the right and proper thing to do. It exhibits integrity to send a thank note and it shows that I
have an ethical compass. I really appreciated the opportunity to be able to learn there, so it would
have been wrong not to send a thank you letter.
