Justification

I got the idea to use the endangerment of sea turtles as

the topic for my civic literacies project from my sister. She

wrote about them for a research paper not too long ago.

The exigence present is the fact that poachers are

intentionally killing these creatures. Anytime a species

becomes endangered because of savage hunters, there is

going to be a strong response. There are many

foundations devoted to the conservation of these animals.

The audience I am trying to reach here is an older, wealthy,

environmentalists type group. If someone who cares about

these animals happens to see this, it could lead to a

donation that would help the turtles. Some constraints

around this are that it doesnt really force someone to

donate. It is after all just a poster trying to convince you to

donate. I focused primarily on Pathos while creating this

because I feel that emotional appeal works best when

trying to get donations. I used Ethos when I Listed the

website with a .org. This helps establish that this message

is very legitimate.
