recorded within 24-hour.
EXPLAINATION

A piecewise function is usually defined by more than one formula which is


a formula for each interval. In my research, I chose how many steps that
will be taken in certain time to find piecewise define function. The number
of steps was counted by using a pedometer. Pedometer is portable device
that counts the step of a person by detecting the motion of the persons
hands or hips. This device also can detect the distance walked and the
calories of that person. I got a chance to try walking while wearing the
pedometer.

This research have been completed within 24-hour.The total steps that
I have been counted are 8157 steps with the 6.89 km as total distance
walked. With this total amount of steps and distance, I have burnt around
340.28 Kcal of my body. Usually a total of 10000 steps per day is
equivalent to 8 kilometers. However, this pedometer is quite sensitive
because it sometimes could not detect the motion of our walking steps. It
should put on the suitable place that can easily detect our motion such as
cling on the trouser or at your sock that eases this device to detect any
motion.

I started at 7.30 am until 1.30 pm. I used to walk to class since my


class is near to my mahallah. Within these hours, I got 3314 steps that
have been recorded by pedometer.The graph increases gradually along
the time.In the afternoon, I have less walking because I do not have any
task to do. At 1.30 pm to 7.30 pm, the steps that I have been recorded are
5934 as the graph raise dramatically within the time. Usually in the
evening I used to walking to sport complex for exercise from mahallah and
walking back to the mahallah. Next, from 7.30 pm to 1.30 am, the graph
increases slightly along the time. This is because I had less activity to do
within the time consequently 2270 steps only that I have been recorded.
At last period of time at 1.30 am until 7.30 pm, the graph increases
gradually since I got 3189 steps that have been recorded by pedometer.
As conclusion, there are many benefits that we can get by walking only
around 10 minutes. Walking helps us to breathe easier. With regular
walking, we can increase our lung capacity making us for easier breathing.
Other than that, walking burns our calories. In some research, we burn
about 50 calories on average for every 10 minutes of walking depending
on our weight. Walking also reduces stress. This exercise increases
endorphin levels in the brain and gives us the ability to take fuller breaths
and consequently helps us to rid the mind and body of stress.
