I am excited to work in a school district where I can teach first grade students. I enjoy

Elementary Education courses and have taken several semesters of American Sign

Graduated High School from Greenleaf Friends Academy- May 2013; I graduated with
honors.

Skills & Abilities

WILLINGNESS TO LEARN
I have a strong desire to learn new ideas and concepts that will help me in my future
teaching profession. When substitute teaching, I am able to take note of some of the
ways the teachers run their classrooms and will be able to use some of these ideas in
my own classrooms.

TECHNOLOGY
Through the course of high school and my college classes, I have been able to utilize
many computer programs that have helped me in several projects.

COMMUNICATION
I truly enjoy meeting new people and hearing about their life experiences. Being the
youngest child in my family, I developed great communication skills early on since I
spent so much time with my mom and dad.

LEADERSHIP
Being our senior class president in high school, I helped plan and manage several fund
raisers and our graduation and graduation trip to the Oregon Coast. Through the
course of the school year, I was able to learn how to listen and be diplomatic in dealing
with many personality conflicts in our senior class.

I have a group of students that I help every Tuesday and Thursday during their AVID
class. We work on life skills and homework troubleshooting

I have substituted for several teachers at Vallivue Middle School.

I truly enjoy being around people. Serving food to the customers gave me much joy. I
met some interesting people and was able to use my sign language several time for
those who were hard of hearing or deaf.
