Skills & Abilities

WRITING & RESEARCH
In my time as a student in the humanities field, I developed advanced writing skills. I am confident
doing research and reporting, as well as writing analytically and persuasively. I am also confident
doing data entry and using Microsoft Office applications.

CHILD CARE / EDUCATION

I have over 10 years of childcare experience, both formally and informally. My parents are both
early childhood and elementary teachers, and I spent years in their classrooms. I nannied full time
for 5 summers from 2014-2019 for two different families with children from ages 5 to 15. In high
school, I worked as a peer tutor to middle school students in the French language program and
volunteered at Redmond Elementary School in the kindergarten classroom as a teacher’s assistant.

MULTITASKING & ORGANIZATION

In my varying experiences working in retail, food service, non-profits, childcare, and as a student, I
have gained invaluable time management skills and pride myself on my efficiency. I am capable of
taking on multiple projects at once but have also learned the importance of delegating tasks when
appropriate.

PUBLIC SPEAKING & PRESENTATION

In my time as a student of social science, I have worked on countless projects that required me to
present my findings to the public. I am comfortable formatting and conducting presentations,
whether in a group or solo environment. I am a skilled orator and I pride myself on my ability to
communicate information in a manner that is accessible to varying audiences.
