Nema vie nae Crne Gore.

Naa otadbina, koja je odolijevala najveim osvajaima, prijevarno je

porobljena i unitena. Nae e kue popalit', stoku e otet', ene i ecu e poerat' i ostavit' gladne. A
mi moramo u umu, svi su nas ostavili. Nema prijatelja, ni saveznika u svijet da bi se okrenuo na
Crnu Goru. Nikad nam nije bilo tee.

Brao, danas kad smo izgubili ovu bitku, poeo je na rat. Rat u kome mi neemo pobijediti, ali se
nikad neemo umirit', nikad se neemo predat'. Jer ako se mi umirimo, ako mi ne poginemo, nikad
vie nee bit' Crne Gore. Mi moramo poginut' da bi poslije nas ivjela ideja o slobodnoj Crnoj Gori. Ta
ideja e ivjet', i jednoga e dana naa eca, naa unuad, na toj ideji sagradit' novu, slobodnu Crnu
Goru.

Brao, poginuemo za pravo, ast i slobodu Crne Gore!

Our Montenegro is no more. Our fatherland, which had resisted the greatest of conquerors, has
deceitfully been pillaged and destroyed. Our houses will be burnt down, our cattle will be taken, our
women and children will be left without shelter and food. And we ourselves have to go to the woods;
we are left on our own. No friends, no allies in the whole world to look upon Montenegro. Times have
never been more difficult for us.

Brothers, today when we have lost this battle, our war has begun! It is a war in which we cannot win,
but we shall never give in, we shall never surrender. For if we give in, if we do not give our lives,
never again will there be Montenegro. We must die to keep alive the idea of free Montenegro. This
idea will live on, and one day, upon this idea, our children, our grandchildren, will build a new, free
Montenegro.

Brothers, we shall die for the right, the honor, and the freedom of Montenegro!
