Creative Concept

I will create a music video based on the track On the Other Side of the
World by Matthew McCracken. I will use the track to play over the short
film that I will produce with classmates to portray the meaning of the
song. This song is about a man trying to get closure after a break up. I
want to portray that he is a strong character through his willingness to
push on even when his nostalgic flashbacks become controlling. This will
require an emotional performance from the actor that we choose which
will be essential to the successful portrayal of the character. The
production design will play an important part in creating contrast between
the colour and life that used to exist when his girlfriend was around as
opposed to the emptiness he now feels without her which will be
represented by bleak costume and lighting.
