I Believe in Respect

1. When I was younger I was always told about the golden rule which is treat

someone the way you want to be treated. I enjoyed being treated with respect so I figured

how can I get respect when I don't give it.

2. There was really no trigger to the belief, it was really just me thinking logically.
3. The belief itself was sudden to realize but it gradually took time for me to apply it

in my life
4. This kind of plays a role in all aspects of life, the most important which is social

interaction. Without respect its very hard to interact with other people

My Belief Artifact

I created a poem to show my personal beliefs about respect. I chose the topic of respect then

narrowed it down to subtopics like respect each other's religion, respect each other's beliefs and

respect each other. It was hard to expand on this topic to 20 lines because I felt a bit redundant.

In the artifact I shared my personal philosophies.

I believe everyone should show respect, no matter their appearance or even their intellect ,

if you don't show respect,

how can you expect,

it from me?

I don't care if you're a teacher with a master's degree,

last time I checked respect is earned it isn't free.

 I believe we should respect ones religion ,

the God they choose to serve is their decision,

whether they are Jewish, Muslim or even a christian,

we shouldn't show a group of people crucifixion,

due to the depiction, that they show on television.

I believe if we respected each other the world would be a peacer place, there would be a-

heck-lot less of the problems we need to face,

If we could could just show each other mercy and grace,

maybe there could be just one less military base

I believe if we just respect each other , maybe the world as a whole can recover.
