SUBJECT: Approved Cultivation and Production Standards
Esteemed Council Members,
I believe having a list regarding approved methods for production and cultivation would be
beneficial information to obtain. Since the Consejo Regulador del Tequila is the authority on
matters of standards and practices of Tequila, you will be the quickest and most reliable source
of this information.

Cultivation and Harvesting Standards
Specifically, I am inquiring on cultivation standards for agave. This information would be
beneficial in understanding the standards to which the agave plant must be grown and what is
required of its upkeep. Further useful information would include area restrictions as to where
planting would be possible.

Production Standards and Practices
It is also understood that Tequila and its production there of must maintain a certain standard.
Knowing the allowed production methods would decrease the likelihood of decreased purity.
Also for future development of production processes, accepted practices on topics such as sap
processing, fermentation, distillation, and bottling would help.

As stated before since this council is the authority on all tequila matters, the information would
be the most recent and up to date. If any credential or information is required of me to obtain
this information feel free to contact me at the same address as given above.
