Polyester is a material
that belongs in the
category of polymers.
Consisting of a molecular
structure that is made up
of the same units bonded
together.
History of polyester
Polyester founded in 1941.
Invented in England.
Founded by british scientists John
Whinfield and James Dickson.
Factory called DuPont bought right
to make polyester in 1945.
Factory in Delaware actually started
making it in 1950.
Attributes of Polyester
Polyester fabrics are really strong
Its also very durable than most
fabrics.
Plus its resistant to most chemicals
Polyester is hydrophobic-meaning
that it dries quickly-
Most outdoor equipment are made
