What is woven polypropylene bags?

Let’s break this question into three sections.
1. woven
weaving or wovenWoven, or weaving is a method by many
threads or tapes woven in two directions (warp and weft), to form
a fabric for plastic industry needs.

In the plastic woven industry, with a plastic film is drawn into

filaments, woven into fabric/sheet/cloth. It can be into a tarpaulin,
woven bags, container bags, tons of bags, geotextile fabric, color
of the cloth and so on.

Woven or weaving by industry:

Plastic film into a fiber, it should belong to the plastic industry;

Filament weaving process from the plastic into view, it should
belong to the textile industry.

Thus, it is both plastic and textile industries marriage of the body.

Woven fabric cloth usually frays at the edges, unless techniques

are used to counter it, such as the use of pinking shears or
hemming.

2. woven polypropylene
Polypropylene, which is also known as PP for short name, is one
kind of thermoplastic resin material that produced by the
polymerization of propylene.

Woven polypropylene is polypropylene strips/threads that have

been woven in two directions (warp and weft) to creat a light, but
strong and heavy duty material.

3. woven polypropylene bags

Build with circular woven polypropylene fabric, one side sewn as
the bottom, leave the other side open, the simplest woven
polypropylene bags is done.

Why woven polypropylene suitable for packaging use?

polypropylene melt and densityHigh Melt Index with low Density

Warp yarn during weaving. This would go from left to right in the
body fabric.
Woven – Combined with many polypropylene yarns or tapes in
two directions (warp and weft) to form fabric.

Denier – The weight of yarn in grams per 9,000 meters.

Fabric Mesh – The measure of the density of the fabric weave,

measured as the number of yarns per inch in both the Warp and
Weft directions. Like 10×10 mesh.

Fabric Weight – The measure of the fabric weight in ounces per

square yard or grams per 100 square centimeters.

Stitches per Inch – A sewing specification requiring “X” number of

stitches per inch. Like 4 stitches per inch.

Seam – A sew line made by the attachment / assembly of two or

more components.

Top Hemmed / Hemming – A fold and sew operation which

prevents fraying of cut fabric. This also provides a clean finish to
the woven polypropylene bag. It may be either towards the inside

Morn offers different grade quality of plastic sand bags for customer’s choice. The
common one with 70gsm would be the most economical type sandbag, which is widely
applied for temporary flooding defense. For heavy duty applications, another type with
100gsm material would be more suitable choice which contains more UVI which
protects the bags from breaking down in sunlight.

3.About UV protection.
Mornpackaging is also a sandbag supplier who is able to add UV resin into sand bag
material to protect sand bag against deterioration. Woven polypropylene is like any
plastic material else that is weak when exposing to sunlight, in order to make sand bags
lasting longer, it’s necessary to have UV protection treated, up to 1600hours available.
With developing of woven polypropylene material, a big part of sand bags are made by
various types of woven pp fabric instead of by jute. Woven Polypropylene sand bags are
often manufactured in basic designs, with simple mark printed or even of plain white,
dark green or black.

1. What is PP woven bag?

PP, the abbreviation of polypropylene, which is a thermoplastic resin material that
produced by the polymerization of propylene. Woven, or weaving is a method of putting
many polypropylene tapes together from warp and weft directions to form them as pp
woven fabric for some certain applications. To cut the tube shape of pp woven fabric
into a specific length, then sew it by one side, and let another side open, it then can be
called a pp woven bag.

2. Why choose woven polypropylene bags for packaging?

1)  PP material is fully Non-toxic
2)  The durability of pp woven material make the pp woven bags reusable.
3)  It's easy to clean and antibacterial
4)  The bag is light-weight itself.
5)  Weaving method make the woven sacks breathable.
6)  Low-costs. It's famous as name of cheap woven polypropylene bags.

3. What are the applications of PP woven bags?

1) Agricultural products packaging.
Benefits from its advantage of cost-effective and durability, PP woven bags are
widely used as flour bags, rice bags, maize bags, seed bags, grain bags, feed
bags, fertilizer bags and so on.
2) Foodstuff packaging.
Thanks to the non-toxic feature of pp sack, it's also a good package choice for
foodstuffs, such as rice bags, sugar bags, salt bags, flour bags, etc.
3) Industrial packaging.

Polypropylene sacks manufacturers from China export their material to

customers from industry also, the sacks are used as chemical bags, cement
bags, building material bags, or as package of hardware and more.

accurate to 1 mm. The ruler should be parallel to the edge of the bag. The maximum
deviation is taken as the test result.
5.3Weaving density
Flatten the bag, delineate 100 mm X 100 mm two diagonal blocks at the top and
bottom of the bag. The outer edge of the square is 100 mm apart from the edge of the
bag. Visually measure the number of longitude and latitude roots in the square, and
take the average value. When the last edge is less than one, calculate it according to
one.

5.4 Weight per unit area.(gsm)

5.4.1 Cut 4 pieces of sample of square meter 10000mm² each.
5.4.2 The mass is weighed by a balance with a sensitivity of 0.01 g, and its arithmetic
average value is taken to calculate the mass deviation per unit area.
