Dear Scott Pruitt,

As a Biology major at UNCC, sustainability has been at the forefront of my studies for the past

two semesters. I am concerned with the current direction of the EPA as a whole. The recent dismissal of

several key scientific advisors is a red flag to the current environmental movement. It is my hope this

letter moves you to stop being a total wad and implement a carbon tax. Stop enabling fossil fuel

companies to decimate our planets natural resources. I would like to see meaningful legislature involving

sustainability and the reduction of fossil fuel emissions.

If we dont treat our planet with respect, in a few generations the planet will have shifted into an

unrecognizable landscape. The influx of environmental refugees is a matter of national security and

should be treated with the utmost importance. Those fleeing environmental ruin in coastal areas will seek

refuge inland. The planet will continue to warm and polar ice caps will continue to melt if we do not do

something. Please honor the Paris agreement. The United States is a flagship for countries all over the

world. If we do the right thing, other countries will follow.

If we dont change our consumptions behaviors, we will irrevocably alter this planet and leave

behind a radically different world for our grandchildren to inhabit. Climate change is the issue of a

generation. It is what our media SHOULD be covering, not whatever crazy thing Donald Drumpf is doing

that day. Please make the right decision and steer this country and organization in a direction that

promotes real, lasting, meaningful change.
