35W Bridge Collapse, Minnesota.

This 40 years old 8- lane bridge collapsed yesterday (2 Aug 07), the first
picture shows the bridge (intact, steel truss system with concrete deck) and
the 2nd picture shows the collapsed bridge. This bridge was last inspected in
2004. In 2001, a civil engineering study was commissioned and they
determined that while the bridge showed signs of "fatigue detail" it didn't
show any fatigue cracking.
ENGG1010 is very relevant for the analysis of this collapse !!.
