To Whom It May Concern

Re: Andrea Michelle Lasley

I have personally known Andrea and her family for approximately 16 years, and while being a
neighbor have witnessed her growing up and turning into beautiful, highly intelligent and
hardworking young woman.

Fired by her desire for a career in communications and in particularly telecommunications she
has exceled in her studies while at school and currently in college, making the Deans list
regularly, and currently is a member of the Honors Society at her college, University of
Michigan, Flint.

She is known by me to be a highly motivated, extremely trustworthy and hardworking

individual, and it is my great pleasure to recommend her as being an excellent candidate for any
position or opportunity offered by an employer or sponsor.

RE: Letter of Recommendation Andrea Lasley

To Whom It May Concern:

Rarely have I met someone more dynamic and engaging than Andrea Lasley, and it is with the greatest of
pleasures that I write this letter recommending her for WXYZs broadcasting scholarship. I have known
Andrea for about two years and I could tell from the moment that I met her that Andrea has a divine spark
for life that she brings to everything she does. With that, I rest assured that Andrea has all of the skills
necessary and more to be an exemplarily broadcaster.

I first met Andrea when she was a freshman at the University of Michigan - Flint and she took my college
rhetoric course. This year, I also had the privilege of having her as a student in my critical writing course.
She was always engaging, a born leader among her peers, and a deep and critical thinker. These are traits
that she has also brought to all of her scholarship as a student at the University of Michigan-Flint. From
the moment Andrea walked into my classroom, she talked about wanting to work in broadcasting and has
an unyielding passion and the ability to do such.

Andrea is also extremely well rounded and rather brilliant. She has a unique ability to engage with anyone
and find common ground about which to talk. She is well versed in everything from culture to current
events. Andrea can communicate, connect, and make anyone feel welcomed. Having worked in academia
and having been an elected official for ten years, I cannot stress enough the importance of a sound ability
to communicate, especially when working in broadcasting. I have met many brilliant people, but they lack
the ability to communicate their message clearly to others. This is not a concern for Andrea and, in point
of fact, her ability to effectively communicate coupled with her knowledge and understanding are her
greatest assets.

If the past is a representation of the future, Andrea will continue to distinguish herself in her career and
will make a truly awesome addition to the broadcasting profession. It is with the utmost confidence in
Andreas continued good works that I recommend her for WXYZs broadcasting scholarship.

Yours very truly,
