BBS Train the trainers course

Course venue: Hotel Dusit Thani new Cairo

Date of the course: 10th to the 14th of June

Aim:

The overall aim of this 5 days course is to make people aware of and
willing to apply Behaviour Based safety processes BBS, train employees
in their department on the BBS observation and how to do a BBS Root
Cause analysis. The course will help develop an HSSE culture by
identifying and stopping any unsafe behaviour and encouraging and
commending on the safe behaviours in BGE, asset.

Target Audience TTT:

Young and motivated employees who believe in intervention and capable


of training others.

Objectives:
By end of this course, delegates will be able to:
Understand the ABC model of human behaviours.
Intervene to stop any unsafe behaviour and the importance of
recognising safe behaviours.
Be familiar with the BG BBS standards.
Have the knowledge and confidence to communicate about
behavioural safety.
Design a behavioural safety course for different delegates including
root cause analysis and the importance of giving feed back.
conduct a behaviour observations using the BBS checklist,
learn the techniques and practice presentation skills.

Pre-Work:

1. In preparation for the course, you will need to be familiar with:


a) The BG BBS standard BGA-HSSE-SAF-ST-1512 (attached) and also
on the Portal.
b) Get familiar with a technical BBS paper submitted to the SPE
attached.

2. In addition, participants should reflect on the following questions:


- Why do I care about the BBS process?
- What benefits BGE will get by applying the BBS process?
- How will I implement the BBS process on my department?

Based on your reflection efforts, you are expected to submit an


electronic pre-work report in MS Word format (answering the above
questions using no more than one side of A4) by close of play on the
Tuesday the 5th of June. The return email address for the report is
( ---------) You may be contacted in connection with your pre-work
report. The pre-work will be incorporated into the content of Day 1.

NOTE: This course represents a valuable opportunity to learn BBS and the
presentations skills. Please ensure you clear your diary for the 5 days.
