BornInChinabroughtitsaudiencestotheremote,overlookedlandscapesofChina.
Throughoutthedurationofthisbeautifulfilm,thespectacleoflifeanddeathwasdisplayed
throughfivespecies.IwasamazedbytheinteractionsDisneynaturewasabletocapture,
especiallyofthesnowleopardandherchildren.Wewatchedastwocubsgrewthroughthe
springmonthswiththeirmother,andstruggledthroughthefallandwinteruntilthe
unbearablytragicdeathofthemom.Wewatchedamotherpandanurtureherdaughteras
sheexploredtheforests,andasagroupofchirumadetheiryearlymigrationtogivebirth.
Wewatchedasayounggoldenmonkeydiscoveredtheimportanceoffamily.Thismovie
wasabeautifuldisplayoflifeanddeath,andevenmoreimportantly,Iappreciatethatthe
threemainfamilies(thepanda,snowleopardandgoldenmonkey)areallendangered.This
bringsattentiontothenaturalbeautyoftheseanimalsandtheimportanceofpreserving
theirpopulations.Previously,IhadnotthoughtofChinaasthehaventothesespecies,but
ratheracrowded,pollutedcity,andIwasverysurprisedtofindthatChinaisanincredibly
beautifulplace.Myfavoritepartofthemoviearetheclipsofthevideographersand
camerasinteractingwithsomeoftheanimalsduringthecredits.Mybiggesttakeawayfrom
thismovieisthatweoftenfocussomuchontheinevitabledestructionoftheplanetand
mostlifeonit.This,unfortunately,seemstobeanineffectivewayofbringingaboutchange.
Rather,weshouldbeinspiringpeopletopreservethedecreasinghealthoftheEarth



throughshowingthemthebeautyofthelifeonit,asDisneynaturehasdone.Overall,Bornin
Chinawasfascinatingmovie,andIlovedalmosteveryminuteofit.
