Cyclades Itinerary

1. CAPE SOUNIO Nice secluded bay, right under the temple of Poseidon,
rocky walk up to the temple possible, couple of
tavernas

2. KEA Vourkari - Very sheltered small port with a couple of

tavernas and nice fresh fish, small village on mountain
with narrow streets and nice views
Try Annas taverna for in Otzias and 9 Kores in
Vourkari

3. KYTHNOS Kolona - Superb waters and surroundings, with two bays

separated by a sand strip, small beach taverna. In the
harbor, mooring possible, with some tavernas and
supermarkets.

4. SIFNOS Kamares - Nice port with superb sandy beach and

plenty of good food and nice bars. Try spaghetti with
lobster at Kapetan Andreas. Excellent landscape with
monasteries and spectacular sunsets.

5. POLYAIGOS 3645 2438 - Old Minery, good anchorage, superb

waters, excellent shelter from any northerly winds !!
3646 2437 - Unique bay with crystal waters, good
shelter from southerly winds, and just across from
Kimolos for supplies.

6. MILOS 3639 2420 - Mooring in the cliffs, with sandy shallow

beaches, nice caves and good shelter from Northerly
winds; go to Barriello for a beer and its unique interior
Port - Good shelter, full mooring facilities, many good
tavernas, to the south of the bay, the famous golden
beach, due to the metal particles in the sand reflecting
the sunlight.

7. IOS Manganari - Famous Sandy beach, shelter from

Northerly winds, but wind still comes over from the
beach, careful due to some shallows near the edges of
the bay.
Treis klisies - Like Manganari, but quieter.
Mylopotas - Near the port with a lot of bars and
tavernas
Port - Busy port, but with superb walks and ancient
sights, chora the town on the mountain, has
spectacular views and a busy nightlife.

8. KOUFONISI 3654 2535 - A natural swimming pool, blue waters,

sandy beaches, endless beauty, especially with north
winds
3656 2536 - The port, narrow!! Nice little town with a
few tavernas.

9. ANTIPAROS Pantieronisia - Small island formation between Paros

and Antiparos, divided by shallow crystal blue waters,
on the south side, relative good shelter from northerly
winds, ideal for snorkeling
Despotiko - 3658 2502 White cliffs, crystal blue waters,
sandy beaches, a couple of tavernas, the passage
between Despotiko and Antiparos is NOT feasible.
Port - Care on approach a lot of shallows!! Anchorage
on the outside of the stone quay, fuelling possible, busy
nightlife, nice food. Passage to Paros follow ONLY the
ferry; very treacherous !!

10. MYKONOS Port - Old Port preferred, difficult to find mooring at high
season, a lot of swell with southerly winds. Mykonos
town does not require any further comments!!!
Ornos - Sheltered bay, busy but family type beach.
Psarou A must visit in Myconos. Nammos
restaurant attracts cosmopolitan people for day lunch
parties. Nice sandy beach with emerald waters
Agrari Quieter; nice sandy beach.
Panormos - Superb sandy beach, with a small taverna
open usually only lunch times, NOT recommended with
northerly winds

11. SYROS Didimi - Rock island with a split on its south side, a
secluded beach with maybe a beach bar, crystal
waters and serenity.
Port - Very Safe, with all facilities, a lot of venetian
buildings and superb ancient town on the mountain.
Try Kouzina for good Mediterranean specialties and
Oneiro for modern greek cuisine.
