Core Competencies for the Cold Storage & Transportation

Managements of Postharvest Fruits

Abstract
Postharvest fruits cannot generate their own internal ethylene and also cannot
rely on external ethylene stimulating them to generate their own internal ethylene. Then,
postharvest fruits have to be grown up on their mother plant so that they would keep
becoming sweet. For postharvest fruits, the freshly pick-down fruits should have the
best flavor. As a result, how to keep the best flavor of the postharvest fruits during their
storage and transportation becomes important. The research use literature review,
expert interviews and AHP method to analysis the important core competencies for
the cold storage and transportation managements concerning postharvest fruits.
