How have bonds been established or destroyed by or around your character.
Earlier chapters
Ralph has developed many bonds with other characters in the novel lord of the flies. In the earlier
chapters ralph and the other characters had a bond as he was their chief, the person they all looked
up to, but besides that he was also their friend. Ralph bonded with all the characters in one way or
another, to Piggy he was the one who would listen to him and defend him. Simons bond with ralph
was mostly because simon always helped out with whatever he needed. Ralphs bond with jack in the
beginning was that they both wanted to have fun on the island.
How have bonds been established or destroyed by or around your character.
Later chapters
In the later chapters of the book, a few of the bonds ralph had once had were destroyed due to jack
developing the savage ways he inherited during the time they were on the island. Ralph gained a greater
connection with piggy during the time that Jack and ralph were separated when jack went savage with the
littleuns. Simons bond with ralph was cut short after he was murdered during the dance, where
everyone had thought he was the beastie. ALl in all during the time that the boys had been stuck on the
island most relationships were destroyed because most of the boys had been taken over by the thought of
savagery.
