General information

Insurance/ product and public liability

Exhibitors must arrange adequate insurance cover for their stand, products and personnel.
This must include the move-in and move-out times of the exhibition as well as for the
duration of the exhibition. Public liability insurance must be included to the value of AUD $20
million.

Each exhibitor must forward a Certificate of currency of their public liability insurance
to the Congress coordinator prior to 30 June 2017. A Certificate of currency is a
document that confirms a current policy is in place for public liability insurance.

Business Chamber nor International Convention Centre Sydney, nor any of their staff,

employees, agents or other representatives shall be held accountable for or liable for, and
the same are released from accountability, or liability for any damage, loss, harm or injury to
the person or any property of the exhibition, however caused or any of its staff, employees,
agents or other representatives, nor for goods sent to the Loading Dock International
Convention Centre Sydney, before or remaining after the exhibition, nor whilst in transit to or
from the exhibition or during the exhibition.

Exhibitors must ensure that adequate insurance coverage is taken out against the loss, theft
or damage of all products brought to the Exhibition. This includes during transportation to
and from the event. In the event of industrial disruption and/or equipment failure due to
power supply problems, the NSW Business Chamber and/or International Convention
Centre Sydney will not be held liable and accept no responsibility for loss of monies incurred
by exhibitors or damage to property.

Special note: Exhibitors should consult their own insurance companies for proper coverage
of their merchandise and displays. Public Risk Insurance, All Risk Insurance, Employers
Liability, Personal, Accident and Staff Insurance for your stand area should also be taken
out. Exhibitors that bring in equipment that requires operation will be required to supply a
copy of their public liability certificate to the International Convention Centre Sydney.

Security

Exhibitors must make provisions for the safeguarding of their goods, materials, equipment,
and displays at all times. Please be security conscious, do not leave bags, purses, laptops or
any easily portable items unattended at any time in your stand.

Please remember, the Congress organisers will not be held responsible for lost or damaged
property. You are urged to maintain full insurance coverage for damage or loss of your
property.

Imported goods and quarantine regulations

Australia has stringent importation and quarantine regulations. Any goods manufactured from
plant materials and foodstuff are subject to quarantine inspection on arrival in Australia. For

First aid

A fully equipped medical centre is located at the ground level of the convention centre. First
aid rooms are also located on level two of the exhibition centre and level two of the Theatre.
These rooms are manned during event operational hours.
